customer service and satisfaction, not with long
term contracts. If another company refuses to
do business with you without a long term
contract, please read the fine print carefully.
When you are forced to sign a long term
contract, it usually means that the terms only
protect
them. Ask if the contract answers a few
simple questions that will protect
you. If the
system is not working properly, are you still
required to pay your monthly fee?
In most cases
you must still pay your monthly fee even if it
takes months to resolve a problem.
If you decide
to cancel the contract, do you still pay for the
remainder of the contract period?
Most
companies will require that you pay the
remainder of the fees even if you sell your home
or business. If you cannot convince the new
owner to pay the fees, you must pay for months
or years of service that you don't even use.
If I
have a problem, how much will it cost to fix it?
Some companies charge as much as $75.00 for a
thirty minute service call. Even if you pay extra
monthly fees for a "service contract" they still
impose a trip fee of $40.00 or more. We believe
in providing a generous warranty and charging
very reasonable rates thereafter. Remember, we
don't require a contract, so we have more
incentive to treat you right to keep your
business.
